1. Who we are

Hoy Aquí is a web service available at hoyaqui.es that helps users find the daily set lunch menu at nearby restaurants. The data controller is the owner of hoyaqui.es, reachable at hoyaqui.app@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account.
• Usage data: pages visited, restaurants viewed and saved favourites, via Vercel Analytics (anonymised, no tracking cookies).
• Location data: if you grant location access, we use it solely to show you nearby restaurants. We do not store it on our servers.
• Submitted content: if you are a restaurant owner and publish menus or restaurant details via the dashboard, we store that information in our database.

3. How we use your data

• Providing the service: displaying daily menus, managing your account and your restaurants.
• Sending email reminders if you are a registered restaurant owner (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• Improving the app through aggregated, anonymous usage analytics.

4. Third-party services

• Supabase: database and authentication. Data stored on EU servers.
• Vercel: web hosting and anonymous analytics.
• Resend: transactional email delivery.
• Google OAuth: sign in with Google (optional).

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all your personal data within 30 days. Menus and restaurant data you have published may be retained in anonymised form to preserve the service history.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at hoyaqui.app@gmail.com. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

7. Cookies

Hoy Aquí does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use strictly necessary session cookies to keep you logged in if you have an account. No consent is required for these cookies as they are essential for the service to function.

8. OpenStreetMap data

Restaurant location and name data has been sourced from OpenStreetMap and its contributors, available under the ODbL licence.
